Characteristic: Thoriated tungsten electrode is the most widely used welding material. 2% Thoriated Tungsten contains 2% thorium oxide (ThO 2 ) that is dispersed inside the whole length of the Tungsten rod. 2% Tungsten electrode provides excellent resistance from weld pool contamination and offers the welder easier arc starting capabilities and a more stable arc.
