GYP1 Surge Protective Device series (referred as SPD) provides protection against surge current resulted from direct or indirect lightning strike or other instantaneous overvoltage.

Construction features:

@The device shall be mounted indoor with less exposure onto DIN rail 35mm.
@The device shall be installed prior to the circuit breaker and shall be reliably connected to earth with resistance not exceeding 4O and cross section of conductor not less 6mm.
@The device is equipped with warning display. Green colour from the indicating window is for normal operation, and red colour is for function failure. The function unit shall be checked regularly and the unit shall be replaced upon any failure being detected.

Normal operation and mounting requirement:

One pole: Provide protection against surge current of circuit single phase 220V.
Two poles: Provide protection against surge current of L and N phase to earth of circuit single phase 220V resulted from lightning.
Three poles: Provide protection against surge current of S phase of TT, TN-S system 380V, and also protect S to earth of IT TN-C system of 380V.
Four poles: Provide protection against surge current against S, N to earth of TT TN-S system of 380V.
