Monel Filter Disc
Monel mesh is nickel-copper alloy mesh, containing minimum 63% nickel and 28% copper. It's woven into an extremely corrosion resistant wire mesh material. Therefore monel mesh is resistant to sea water and steam at high temperatures as well as to salt and caustic solutions. Monel 500 mesh has approximately three times the yield strength and double the tensile strength when compared with alloy 400. When in the age-hardened condition, monel 500 mesh has a greater tendency toward stress-corrosion cracking than monel 400 alloy mesh. It's also resistant to a sour-gas environment.

Cutting
Monel mesh cut easily with good quality hand tools. The heavy meshes from 2 mesh through 50 mesh is best cut with aircraft style shears or tin snips. To cut 60 mesh and finer, you can use a common scissor
