Sprial wound gasket with graphite or PTFE filler, without outer ring
The gasket comprises a spirally-wound beaded metal band ( Standard: 316L; other materials possible ) in which a non-metallic band ( graphite or PTFE ) overlaying on both sides is inserted between the individual spirals of the metal band. The outer ring serves to increase radial stability. It is used in flange with smooth sealing face ( DIN2692; EN1514-1 Form SR ) e.g. in the petrochemical industry, in the high-pressure sector and for other problem applications. Dimensions: DIN EN1514-2, ASME B16.20 and special dimensions.
