There are two kinds of soft flat cables: FFC and flexstrip cable
FFC ( Flat Flexible Cable ): The two ends are flat.
JUMPER/RFC ( Round-Flat Flexible Cable ): The two ends are round.

Round solid copper conductor rolled to create flat section giving superior flexibility and resistance to shock and vibration.
Flat conductor outperforms conventional round conductors with greatly reduced possibility of wire fracture in the critical area where the conductor joins the PCB.

There are different pitches of FFC, such as 0.3mm, 0.5mm, 0.8mm, 1.0mm, 1.25mm, 1.27mm, 2.0mm, 2.54mm.
