Alumina feedstock has the following advantages compared to flame method crystal and biscuit material:
1High purity
Because flame method crystal makes preparation using oxyhydrogen flame, but the gas it used is generally by-products of chemical plant containing other impurities, which will lead to lower purity of the crystal material and not ensure consistency of raw materials high purity; Bread materials may touch with some metals in pressing process and bring in metal impurity and lead to lower purity of raw materials; While Alumina feedstock will be in a very clean environment in the preparation process and not in touch with any metal and atmosphere, which will have its purity guaranteed.
2High proportion
A single weight of Alumina feedstock is more than 50 kg and proportion is greater than 3.0g/cm3; While the proportion of Bread material and flame method crystal is about 2.5g/cm3 going through close accumulation after putting into the crucible, so, the same size of crucible can place more alumina ingot feed, it is beneficial to growth of great crystal.
3Less bubbles and high quality
Because Alumina feedstock has gone through one time melting of high temperature, the gas content is lower with less bubbles in the crystal
And the quality of crystal is higher. Compared to flame method crystal, the 60kg crystal using feedstock to grow can take more 300-700 mm of 2 inches crystal ingot, Which can improve the utilization rate of sapphire crystal and reduce the cost of sapphire crystal.
