Nuclear Micro-pore Technique, It uses nuclear reactor to cause mass of thermal neutrons, which will hit the U-235, and make the atomic nucleus of parts of U-235 crack, then the cracking fragments hit the plastic membrane at a high speed, the macromolecule bonds are broken while the particles pass through polymer membrane like the PET(polyester film), PC(polycarbonate membrane).

The nuclear micro-pore membrane with holes in diameter of 4.5~5.5micrometers then comes into being through printing and etching. Compound the nuclear micro-pore membrane onto the delicate printing film with other anti-counterfeiting techniques, then comprehensive anti-counterfeiting products based on nuclear micro-pore technique will be made.

The facilities to produce nuclear micro-pore membrane are monopolized and controlled by the government. Now only the Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology (INET) of Tsinghua University in China has the mass production capacity of this membrane by using the special structure nuclear reactor. So many modern techniques such as physics, chemistry and other techniques have been combined together to develop comprehensive anti-counterfeiting labels based on nuclear micro-pore technique. Ordinary enterprises or factories are difficult to enter the field of nuclear micro-pore technique because it needs mighty technological strength, costly facilities, hi-technique and complicated technology.

This technique is unique. Designs on the nuclear micro-pore anti-counterfeiting membrane are consisted of micron sized holes (in density of 600, 000~1, 000, 000 pores/cm2 and in diameter of 4.5~5.5 micrometers), and the membrane has a good ability to be penetrated by air and water. And it can not be copied or faked by using laser technique, mechanics and chemical method.
