GRD copper bonded earth rods meet all the requirements of the world's most rigorous standards, like UL-467, CE and ANSI C-33-8. Q235 low carbon steel core coated with an electrolytic copper layer, which is minimum 99, 9% pure with no traces of zinc. The copper layer is bonded to steel core through an electrolytic process that ensures a perfect and even bonding between the steel and the copper. The rod finishing is brilliant, free of imperfections or orange peeling. These sectional earth rods are threaded on both ends to allow rod-to-rod connections with couplings. Such procedure permits up to 100-feet depths to be reached with no damage to the threads or the couplings.
