Consider also that the best way to mold the cable ties with PA66 is with the sprue...and so it's impossible to reduce too much the plastic injection molding cycle time, due the thickness of the sprue. I think to reduce to plastic injection molding cycle time is mandatory to use hot runner insulated type. Also use mold temperature controller by water, which is very efficient for heat and cold it later. I think also is possible to use hot runner with valve gate and you will reduce the molding cycle.

I mean do not use the hot runners directly on the plastic injection molded part.You can use a mix hot runner+sprue. Hot runners directly on the parts has a bad effect on the mechanical properties.

I worked for one injection molding company, and this real case not change the part properties. This company produce cable ties and also one of world leader in this market is doing the same. Pls keep cool, I have long experience in this kind of part.

I've been working with China mold companies and they really don't get the cooling concept or at least they didn't. After a lot of meetings, building molds, and run them they are now believers at least the couple of companies I've work with.

One company produces PA6.6 with 50%GF products but some GF marks occurred on surface. We try to eliminate marks but we could not. For example we try to increase plastic injection mold temperature and plastic injection speed. Also we increased holding pressure and time.

Sometimes heating the plastic injection mold more can minimize glass on the surface. Trying to minimize glass on the surface probably will adversely affect the physical properties of the plastic, as the mix will no longer be homogeneous. more...
