With the emerge of high broad band value-added business such as IPTV, broad band provided by traditional technology such as ADSL, CABLE can not meet the customers requirements on video service. Fiber-optic + LAN compensates the shortcomings of other methods, however, because the traditional Ethernet has the limitation of only 100m transportation distance , it requires large amount of fiber-optic or other optical relay equipments, which causes complicated construction and high cost.

The appearance of OM4301 series long distance network extender enables the broad band access to areas without any re-laying, medium work. Simple network contracture greatly cut down the network construction, maintained the cost, and enhanced the reliability of the network.
