Ductile iron: with same advantage of gray iron, and with high strength and toughness. It can be used to instead of some cast steel parts, and better casting manufacturability than steel, it used in auto, railway, agricultural machinery, internal-combustion engine parts.

Grey iron: with good wear resisting and shock resisting, the heat treatment is not needed. Grey iron is easy to cut process, used evanescent modes casting, non-withdraw pattern technology, high precision size, widely used in series of equipment (tool, motor, metallurgy, shipbuilding, spaceflight parts, pump, valve)
