These drive shafts are used to transmit power from the output shaft of the motor to the input shaft of the Gear Box. They are Single Span, floating type (without intermediate couplings, bearings or support), having flexible couplings at ends. These are convenient to install and easy to align. Flexibility to the couplings is given by neoprene rubber bushes to take care of small misalignments in the Gear Boxes and motors during installation. This is a high precision item which has the capacity to deliver upto 200 HP even at 1800 RPM. It has to be dynamically balanced at our works. This balancing minimizes the vibrations caused by centrifugal force. These drive shafts are designed based on the torque to be transmitted, the distance between drive and driven and other working conditions. The length of the drive shaft varies from model to model (going upto 4.5 meters) and is made as per the requirement. These are available in MS-GI, SS-304 or SS-316 as required. All the accessories like couplings, rubber bushes are available ex-stock.
