SGS SonderGetriebeService GmbH is delivering a drive shaft for a roller drive of a steel-mill in Hungary. The drive shaft is 7500 mm long with a diameter of 490mm and a total weight of 9855 kg. The special customer requirement of a high annealing level of HB 260-300 throughout the whole cross-sectional area of the material 42CrMo4+QT, made a special time consuming annealing process necessary. Nevertheless, this drive shaft could already be delivered seven weeks after placement of order.
