Introduction
Deep groove ball bearings are generally consisted by a pair of rings (a outer ring and an inner ring), a set of cage, and a set of balls. The structure is simple and it's easy to use. It's the most common producted and most wildly applied bearing.
This type of bearings is mainly used to bear radial load, but can withstand a certain amount of axial load in either direction.
Deep groove ball bearings have 2 types of single row code-named 6, and double row code-named 4.

Working theory
Deep groove ball bearings mainly bear radial loads, and it can also support radial loads and axial loads at same time. When the only radial loads, the contact angle is zero. When the deep groove ball bearings with a larger radial clearance with the performance of angular contact bearings can bear large axial load. When it's with a large radial clearance, it's also with the performance of the angular contact bearings, it can bear large axial load. Deep groove ball bearing has a small friction coefficient, and high limited speed. It has more advantages than thrust ball bearing, especially in very high speed axial loading conditions.
