Wild thumper

"Wild Thumper" is a rugged 6WD all terrain designed specifically for the robot hobbyist. An ideal platform for competitions such as robot rescue, bomb disposal and fire fighting.

The chassis and top deck have 4mm punched every 10mm for easy mounting of PCB's, sensors and hardware.

It's unique "supper twist" suspension system is designed to keep all wheels on the ground for maximum traction and can be adjusted to suit different loads and conditions.

The six powerful motors with their steel gearboxes allow your robot to traverse rough terrain and steep inclines with ease.

Two large compartments between the wheels are capable of holding up to 4x 7.2V sub C battery packs as commonly used for RC cars.

Silver version

The suspension is a simple but rugged torsion spring design with rubber mounts to provide a firm but flexible joint. Multiple attachment points allow for adjustment of spring tension and travel.

The gearboxes use heavy duty steel gears and brass bushes for greater durability.
