309S & 310S Stainless Steel Introduction
Alloy 309S and Alloy 310S austenitic stainless steels are typically used for elevated temperature applications. Their high chromium and nickel contents provide comparable corrosion resistance, superior resistance to oxidation, and the retention of a larger fraction of room temperature strength than the common austenitic Alloy 304.
Type 310/310S (UNS S31000/S31008) is an austentic flat rolled coil stainless steel that can withstand high temperatures and has great resistance to oxidation and creep deformation.
