Flat Bottom Grain Silo Usage

TSE can offer different capacity flat bottom silos ranging from 10ton to 15000ton per silo. Our flat bottom steel silos are used for storing Granular and Powdery Material: grain (such as wheat, corn, maize, rice, paddy, malt, barley, soybean, coffee bean, etc), seeds, feeds, flour, plastic pellet (such as PP Pellet, PA Pellet, and PVC Pellet), wooden pellet, sawdust, etc. Flat bottom steel silos can be widely used in grain process and storage lines, oil, feed, flour, starch, brewery, and port or grain storage industrial lines.

Structure:

1. Silo Body

TSE flat bottom silo body includes the silo wall sheet, stiffener, silo door, silo door platform, inside and outside ladders.

(1) The silo wall sheet

Our silo body sheet is made of hot dip galvanized steel sheets with 275g/m2 galvanized coating, and can be used for 20 to 50 years. We can also make 300g/m2 and 450g/m2 galvanized coating if customers have special needs.

Our silo body sheets are connected by bolts and nuts, all the bolts and nuts are with spherical washer. We also use the sealing strip between silo body sheets, which make a good sealing of the silo.

(2) Stiffener

The column, made by the Z-bar, is used to reinforce the silo body. It is connected by junction panels.

(3) Silo door and silo door platform & Inside and outside ladders

There are inspection door and ladders inside and outside the silo body. It is convenient and accessible for any maintenance work.

2. Silo Roof  

Roof is made up of radial beam, roof sheet, roof cap, manhole, handrail and ladders, etc.

3. Silo Bottom

The silo bottom is part of cement foundation construction work. For the foundation we can offer you the drawing based on your soil test report.

Bottom structure include: ventilation structure with ventilation channel and net sheets, sweep auger and conveyor. Sweep auger is used to help discharge grain on the bottom to get out. The conveyor is just below the bottom outlet for receiving grain.

Characteristic of Flat Bottom Silo

1. Long life use for 20 to 50 years, silos are hot dip galvanized, anti-rust and anti-seismic

2. Assembly bolted by bolts and nuts, easy to install and maintenance

3. Fully automatic grain silo system which can keep grain in good status. Elevator and conveyor are used for conveying grain. Ventilation system can make air exchange for grain inside to keep grain at good status. There’re temperature and moisture monitoring system inside grain which can inspect the grain temperature and moisture. Pre-cleaner and de-dusting system can used to make to clean grain and collect dust. The electrical control system is used to control the whole system running, and very easy to operate.

4. Flat bottom silo can store a large quantity of grain and very economical based on the cost for grain per ton.
