The vineyard itself is situated in the area known as "Il Gallo" and lies at an altitude of around 250m.It has a loamy clay soil and is planted with selected clones of noble Bordeaux varieties:Cabernet Sauvignon (50%), Merlot (40%) and Petit Verdot (10%).WinemakingAs the various vine varieties at dierent times, they are vinified separately. The fermentation is carried out at a controlied temperature in shallow woodenfermenters with a capacity of 50hl and using traditional techniques such as long maceration and "rack and return".Young wines from dierent vineyards are blended after the malolactic fermentation.The wine is matured in 225 litre barrels for 18 months, and then in bottle for a further two years.Tasting Notes and ServingAppearance: deep ruby red, with violet
